Wendy Attix is the owner and main instructor at Wendy's Dance Company. She is a very accomplished dancer, teacher, and choreographer. She started her training in Lakeland with Dale Bates as a child. She then danced in Bartow with Mamie Robinson for over 14 years, 12 competitively. She trained at Florida State University for two years. She then transferred to the University of South Florida and was a member of the college dance team, The SunDolls. She graduated at USF earning a Bachelor of Art in Communications. She has studied with numerous famous choreographers and teachers in many places; i.e. New York and California. She has been teaching dance for over 26 years.


A L Y S S A E L D R I D G E
Alyssa started dancing at WDC when she was 4 years old, and joined the competition team at age 7. She later became an assistant teacher in 2016. Alyssa graduated from Fort Meade Middle Senior Highschool in 2021 fourth in her class with high honors with distinction, then continued to Warner University to complete her Associate's Degree in 2022. She was the cheer captain at FMMSHS and cheered at the collegiate level while at Warner. This past semester she graduated from the University of South Florida with her Bachelor’s in Communication. She now attends Southeastern University studying in their professional counseling program to become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Alyssa hopes to graduate in 2026!
B R E A N N A J O N E S
Breanna Jones is a Polk County native who was raised in Auburndale, FL, and graduated from AHS in 2022. She grew up dancing at the Wright Step School of Dance in Winter Haven, where she danced for 15 years and competed on the Xtreme Team for 11 of those years. She has been a dancer in the grand opening of Legoland Florida’s Heartlake City and also appeared in the Fashion Society’s opening number choreographed by Lane Napper from Nickelodeon. She has also trained for a summer in NYC at Broadway Dance Center. During high school, she was a 3-year member and senior captain of AHS's Competitive Dance Team. After graduating high school, she continued her dance career at UCF on the nationally ranked dance team and trained for two years as a Knight. Now, she is strictly focusing on earning her Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Digital Media, working for sports marketing companies around the state, and teaching weekly at WDCo.


O L I V I A M C C A R T N E Y
Olivia began her athletic training as a competitive gymnast, and participated in both dance and gymnastics to aid in achieving a unique combination of artistry and athleticism that she would later take into her career as a professional dancer. She began her dance studies under the instruction of Hayley Stewart at Highland School of Dance during the school year, and spent her summers training with institutions such as Patel Conservatory and Modas Dance, while also working on earning her grade four certification in the Cecchetti technique. During High School, Olivia gained an apprenticeship with Collective Soles Dance Company under the instruction of Alexander Jones and performed at many events with the company in the Tampa and St. Pete area. In 2022, Olivia gained her BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography at Florida Southern College and during her time there, got to work with notable guest choreographers and faculty such as Douglas Gilespie, Gregory Dolbashian, Doricha Sales, Sadie Lemker, Sarah Walston, Leah Pinder, Allison J. Baber, and CJ Inzinillo. Since graduating, Olivia has been teaching at Highland School of Dance, and she is currently dancing and performing with RAKR Dance Company in New Smyrna Beach, FL. She is excited to be joining Wendy’s dance company for this upcoming season.
G R A C E D E V E C C H I S
Grace Devecchis has been a dancer since she was 4 years old and danced at Carol Grayson School of Dance until they retired. She loves to dance and was a competitive dancer for the past 6 years. She graduated high school from Mckeel Academy of Technology in 2024 and competed in her last regional and national competitions on the WDC Synergy Team. Now, she is on staff at WDC teaching weekly. In her free time she enjoys the beach, roller coasters, spending time with her friends and family, and loving on her golden retriever, Charli. She will be starting trade school to fulfill her dream of becoming a hair stylist at Travis Technical College in August.


J E N N I F E R S J O B L O O M
Jennifer feels honored to have grown up under the classical ballet instruction of Moscelyene Larkin Jasinski at Tulsa Ballet who was one of the original Five Moons Native American ballerinas who gained international fame in the 20th century. After moving to Florida as a teenager, she continued to dance and teach in Central and South Florida under the direction of Rogelio and Lydia Corrales at St Lucie Ballet, Jean-Hughues Feray Paris Ballet and Dance, Dance Space Vero, Vero Classical Ballet and into Lake Worth and West Palm.

She obtained her 500 RYT through Yoga Alliance and studied under her mentor Cathy Madeo. She has since opened up her own Yoga Studio in Bartow, FL, Engedi Mind & Body. Yoga and ballet share many similarities especially in how you connect breath to movement. She has met so many wonderful people and friendships over the years thru dance and yoga. Sharing in community with others and building relationships is a highlight for her. And, it is definitely something she looks forward to sharing as a teacher and bringing it to our local community. Mrs. Jennifer teaches our Ballet Technique, Pre-Pointe, and Pointe classes.
A M Y F U Q U A
Amy grew up in Lakeland and graduated from Santa Fe High School where she was captain of the cheerleaders and Homecoming Queen. She studied tap, ballet, and jazz at her mother’s dance studio, Carol Grayson School of Dance and was a member of the Grayson Competition Dance Team. Amy won many awards in tap and jazz. She also had the opportunity to attend conventions and workshops with her mother where she studied under great dance professionals like Gus Giordano, Joe Michaels, Luigi and Joe Tremaine. When Amy was eighteen, she competed in the Miss Lakeland Pageant and placed second runner up and won the talent award. She used her pageant winnings to attend Polk Community College, at the same time she auditioned for Walt Disney World Entertainment. She was hired by Disney as a dancer for the shows and parades and as a "face character" where she wore a blue dress, sat on a mushroom, and sometimes held the hand of a white rabbit. After leaving Disney she joined the staff at her mother’s dance studio to teach tap, ballet and jazz until they retired in 2022. She was the director of the Grayson Competition Team and the choreographer and teacher for the Jr and Mini Teams. In 2022 Amy won the Star Quest Competition Choreography award for her Mini jazz routine.
Amy has been married to her husband of 36 years and is the mother of three sons, Grandmother of four grandsons and one granddaughter.
She is a Lakeland realtor and the bookkeeper for the family-owned Fuqua
